The instant pot can make perfect rice! I have been using mine to make rice for years, you’ll find Instant pots are especially great for meal prepping large quantities of rice. I make 6 cups at a time for myself and my partner. Also rice is a great addition to your diet if, especially if you’re exercising a lot. It’s also super versatile. In this recipe I use Thai jasmine rice that we got from costco. I find this rice perfect for the instant pot. It’s easy to store and keeps in the fridge for just over a week. Which makes it great to have after a workout, just heat it up in the fridge and enjoy it with your favourite protein, or one of our other recipes!
Anyway I dont need to talk about it anymore here is how you make it.
Instant pot rice

- 1 instant pot
Ingredients
- 3 cups white jasmine rice
- 9 cups water
Instructions
- Wash your rice. I put all the rice into the instant pot and fill it half full with water. Then I mix up the rice and drain. I repeat this 3 times. This removes the starch and anything stuck on the rice.
- Add 9 cups water to the rice. 1.5 cups for every one cup of rice you added.
- Set in the instant pot on manual 10 minutes. Once it's finished leave it on pressure release for 10 more minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
